"Al-Rajhi Steel Company" develops its technical infrastructure and increases its share in the local market

Al-Rajhi Steel Co. has launched Manarat Project in cooperation with Oracle Corporation and the technical company AppsPro, and Manarat is the name chosen by Al-Rajhi Steel for its project; (strategic e-business solutions), and through this project, the application of all systems will be taken into consideration, or rather a package or a number of systems, respectively over the next year, 2011.

The name Manarat has been chosen by Al-Rajhi Steel Co. as one of the most important strategic e-business solutions, which will contribute to the expedition of both performance and quality of all company's internal and external operations and procedures, it also aims to develop and enhance efficiency and productivity in the company’s various functions, so as to comply with the latest techniques of budgetary and future operational planning to achieve Al-Rajhi Steel Co. ambitious goals, as soon as possible, and also to take appropriate decisions based on reliable information provided by these systems.

Al-Rajhi Steel Co. is striving through the development of its technology to elevate its readiness as a competitive force in the global markets specialized in steel manufacturing. It also intends to expand its production capacity by adding one million tons to its current production, in order to reach the threshold of 1.75 million tons per year of rebar and commercial steel, as a complete production capacity by the year 2012, and this as a result will increase the share of Al-Rajhi Steel in the domestic market to exceed 23%. This expansion will support the company's strategic objectives, and will boost the level of its contribution to meet the increase in demand and participate in the development process taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
