Al Rajhi Steel Industries Wins Best Supplier Prize for 2011

Al-Rajhi Steel has won the Prize of the Best Steel Supplier in 2011 awarded by the “Construction Week” sponsored by Drake & Scull International. The company received the award at the annual celebration of ITP Media and Publishing Group in the presence of a large crowd of media, journalists and businessmen. Al-Rajhi Steel has got the award after a fierce competition with many international companies.
“Construction Week” awards ceremony cares for individuals, organizations and projects that made a significant contribution in the construction sector over the year 2011. Nominations were distributed to a total of 13 awards by a committee of independent experts and specialists in classifying, sorting the nominations and selecting the winners by awarding points based on each classification. The ceremony was sponsored this year by the National Committee for Contractors in the Council of Saudi Chambers. Mr. Fahd Al Hammadi, Chairman of the National Committee for Contractors handed the prizes to the winners.
Engineer Mahdi Al-Qahtani, President of Al-Rajhi Steel Industries expressed his pride in obtaining such international awards by the company, which confirms the high level reached by the company over the past years, as it confirms the place occupied by Al-Rajhi Steel in the region. He added that this achievement came as a result of contribution of all employees in the company, which is not surprising because of the potential possessed by the company at the level of personnel and equipment, pointing to the importance of access to such awards that demonstrate the success of the strategy and policy of the company internally and externally.
It is worth mentioning that the future policy of the company is based on improved production capacity and continued expansions of existing projects, as a number of development projects was completed during the last period, such as the one million tons rolling, which will add one million tons per year of iron, (750) thousand tons of rebar bars sizes (10-40) mm, and (250) thousand tons of scrolls (5.5 - 16) mm smooth and serrate to the production of the Saudi market making the company's total production of nearly two million tons of rebar and scrolls and commercial iron.
