Al-Rajhi Steel celebrated customers in abha

Al-Rajhi Steel celebrated its customers on a dinner in the southern region, Abha last Tuesday, January 3, 2012 and honored them in a family gathering atmosphere.
Chief Executive Officer Engineer Mehdi bin Nasser Al-Qahtani said: ‘The company is currently in the final stages of operating the rolling plant that is expected to enter the stage of commercial production in April of 2012,’ adding that, ‘With the entry of the new project of rolling one million tons to the local markets (750) thousand tons of rebar bars sizes (10-40 mm), and (250) tons of scrolls (5.5 - 16) mm to the Saudi production market, with the total production of the company nearly two million tons of rebar, scrolls and commercial, which in turn will contribute to increase the area of manufacturing of the company and will contribute to the localization of industrial development through the project to provide direct employment opportunities for Saudi youth, in line with the national plan aimed at providing jobs for local young cadres to achieve the principle of national development. These cadres were selected, trained theoretically and practically, in order to be ready to work with the actual beginning of the plant operation, which is expected next April of this year 2012. ’ He also stated that, ‘Some of company objectives is the service of the Saudi economy and strengthening it through the expansion and large-scale projects that help meet the needs of different sectors,
and provide high quality products able to compete locally and globally.’
Mr. Al-Qahtani went on to say, ‘Our receipt of the prize award of the best steel producer and supplier for 2011 is the culmination of what we have planned and we have used in past years. In achieving the production of one million tons in the past year, as a record figure, which came only with your virtue, after Allah Almighty, we have given our attention also to the environment and safety for the social responsibility entrusted in us as well,
as we were honored to receive the certificate (TUV 18001-2007) for safety and environment as another proof assuring everyone that Al-Rajhi Steel represents one of the significant pillars in the economy of our generous country.
