Al-Rajhi Steel Participated in Pavilion Featuring
its Products of Different Types of Steel

Al-Rajhi Steel participated in the Saudi Thirteenth International Building and Construction Exhibition (Buildex 2011), which was inaugurated by Mr. Zarb bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region in Dhahran International Exhibitions Centre in Dammam city with the presence of a group of business leaders and officials of government departments and employees in this sector.

Mr. Al-Qahtani toured throughout the show and was introduced to the products of the companies participating in this exhibition, while praising the role of the exhibition for being able to reflect the size of the growth and development of the local construction, and building market, especially in the eastern region, which is witnessing remarkable built-up accompanying the comprehensive governmental development plan for the residential building and industrial development. He emphasized that the development of the real estate sector to open the door to a boom in the construction sector, which made the Kingdom’s government to pay attention to this sector in several aspects, such as finding the most important sources for organizing this sector through searching mechanisms to activate the role of small construction organizations and contributing to open investment opportunities for the establishment of alliances between local and global firms to contribute to urban development, which this kind of exhibition plays actively in providing these opportunities.
In turn, Mr. Adel bin Abdul Aziz Alaumi said that the Seventeenth Saudi International Exhibition Building and Construction combines 117 local and international companies, each presenting their respective latest industrial building developments in technology, construction and urban development of materials, engineering and industrial projects. In addition, the presence of a group of employees and those interested in the construction and building sector such as engineers, contractors and businessmen enhance the opportunity to research and participate to discuss the challenges leveled by this sector, notably the increase in demand for construction materials due to increased urban growth for the construction of residential and industrial cities.
Mr. Alaumi elaborated that, ‘The Saudi International Building and Construction exhibition at its thirteenth session covers an area of 7500 meters indoor in addition to the outdoor living space of more than 10 thousand square meters and includes heavy equipment and building tools, and will provide a range of corporate sponsors workshops especially for intelligent buildings and how to use the spaces. An agreement with a number of relevant universities took place and visits will be organized for students of architecture and decoration to the exhibition during the morning.’
Mr. Alaumi explained that Dhahran International Exhibitions Company shed the light on more than 12 industrial sectors through specialized exhibitions organized by the year-round with the support of various governmental sectors, making it one of the pioneers of the exhibition industry locally and internationally.
The 17th Saudi International Building and Construction Exhibition will last for five days and expected to attract a number of visitors exceeding 7 thousand visitors from various relevant industrial sectors and the size of its deals is expected to reach more than 100 million riyals.
